Joan was a fun-loving, funny, forthright woman. Her deep distinctive voice and Stoke-on-Trent accent, whether singing or speaking or sharing a story, was unmistakably identifiable. Always active, as a curler, chorister, entertainer and traveller, Joan took life's challenges in her stride, even as she was losing her eyesight.

Joan's love of her friends and family was palpable and she will be deeply missed. Please hold her children, John, Peter and Reagan, in your prayers. I will share details of the date of the funeral at Cedar Park United when it is known. 

May you be greeted by a choir of angels, Joan, and may Heaven for you be like your favourite resort, Blackpool by the Sea. Thank you for all you have shared with us in this life.
